Na Venta Paduthunna Chinnadevadamma Movie Review : This romantic action drama gets undone by its archaicness

Story: Krishna (Akhila Aakarshana), daughter of Bangaru Raju, sarpanch of Ravulapalem and Radha (Tej Kurapati), son of Bapineedu, sarpanch of Juvvalapalem, run away from their homes due to different reasons. Chinnabbai and Peddabbai, two jobless tropes known for spreading gossip between the two villages, share that the two have eloped. Do they really elope? Are they in love? Will their families accept?

Review: Set in a village backdrop, Na Venta Paduthunna Chinnadevadamma, directed by Venkat Vendela, narrates a tale of two youngsters from adjacent villages known to have friction between them. Husharu fame Tej Kurapati and debutant Akhila Aakarshana came up with impressive performances. While the lead pair gave their best, the film gets undone by recurring cliches and an archaic screenplay. Unfortunately, the film, high on erotic undertone, lacks imagination and manages to entertain in parts. The second half tries to salvage and gets better towards the end. Although Tanikella Bharani plays an important character, the depth of it can only be realised towards the end.

The film also features Kalpana Reddy, Jeeva, the Jogi brothers, Ananth, Koteswararao, Dr Prasad, Madhavi, Sunita and others in supporting roles. The crew included cinematography by Vamsi Prakash, editing by Nandamuri Hari, lyrics by Bhavya Deepthi Reddy, choreography by Ganesh Swamy and fights by Ramakrishna.

On the whole, Na Venta Paduthunna Chinnadevadamma disappoints despite honest performances by the lead pair and supporting actors.
