Luck Down Be Positive Movie Review : The chemistry between Ankush Chaudhari and Prajakta Mali is remarkable in this rom com
Certainly, the global pandemic has become a premise for many feature films and OTT series across the globe. Many COVID-themed rom coms have been rolled out too. ‘Luck Down’ does take you back to early 2020. But apart from lockdown and the obvious use of masks and sanitisers, no other aspect of COVID period has been explored in the film.
‘Luck Down’ entertains in parts. Some of the scenes are unnecessarily stretched in the first half, while the second half is a smooth ride. The humour too is way too cliched and evokes an occasional laugh or two.
The biggest plus point of the film is its cast. Despite too many characters, each actor has been given due screen time. The chemistry between Ankush Chaudhari and Prajakta Mali is remarkable. They look convincing as a couple, on screen. Shubha Khote stands out in every scene with her superlative acting and comic timing.
‘Luck Down’, which is pitted against another Marathi film Pondicherry and Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai… has a fair share of good and weak points. For instance, even though the storyline is interesting, the execution could have been much better. ‘Luck Down’ makes for a decent watch, if you are a fan of rom coms.
