Kaaneyaadavara Bagge Prakatane Movie Review : A film that brings the plight of senior citizens to the fore

Krishnamurthy (Ravishankar), Rangayana Raghu (Ranga) and Nani (Tabla Nani) are close buddies. Krishnamurthy, a teacher, raises his only child who settles in the US for a brief period. Ranga dedicates his life to bringing up his deceased brother’s son and Nani, blessed with three daughters, lives in a village. The three are such good friends that they are ready to sacrifice anything for each other’s wellbeing.

The first half of the movie is about the trio exploring Bangkok, narrating their childhood memories and the turning points of their life and this sets the premise for the second half which is filled with emotion, bonding and human relationships. On the other hand, top cop Yashwanth is on a hunt to trace the missing people and this is a challenging case for the police to crack.

Kaanadayaara Bagge Prakatane takes you on a rollercoaster journey in the first half with plenty of comedy and hilarious conversation between old friends. It also tells the story of the problems faced by senior citizens who are neglected by their children. An untoward incident adds a twist to the tale. Ravishankar, Rangayana Raghu and Tabala Nani fit the bill perfectly. Ashika Ranganath’s cameo is worth mentioning. There are a few dull moments in the initial stages, but the story picks up pace in the second half.

Director Anil Kumar, known for his commercial films, leaves a mark in executing a project which has neither a hero nor a heroine.
