The Company Theatre launches Young People’s Program,14th to 21st May, Kamshet

The Company Theatre invites children from all over the country to participate in theatre workshops this summer along with activities like  nature walks, story-telling sessions, swimming in a natural lake, farming and much more. The  Company Theatre believes that all children are born with exceptional artistic capabilities. But the everyday life fades away  the sense of wonder of the kid.The workshop seeks to restore this wonder, amazement and sense of sublimity in young people; to rediscover their creative potentials. As Wordsworth says ” Child is the Father of Man”

The Young People’s Program will invite kids to partake in workshops both in the winter and the summer at The Company Theatre Workspace in Kamshet. The residential workshops will be uniquely independent of their guardians or parent, and the kids will be encouraged to live in the village. Body, space, voice culture; all will be taken care of. Interestingly the kids will also be participating in workshops like Baking and Cooking.

Atul Kumar, the Artistic Director of the Company Theatre will train the kids through various aspects of the actor’s craft like group play, voice culture, body & space in movement, improvisation, personal stories and text work. Shivani Tanksale, renowned baker and theatre practioner will help the kids explore the fundamentals of baking and create gourmet treats.
